Accounting Intern - Summer 2027

Accelevation LLC designs, manufactures, and installs physical infrastructure for advanced technologies. The Accounting Intern will support financial information accuracy through transaction processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, and month-end close activities while gaining experience in accounting operations, controls, and process improvement.

What you'll do:

• Support administration of the company’s travel and expense reporting system, including reviewing reports for policy compliance and assisting employees with submissions
• Research and escalate expense report discrepancies when necessary
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation
• Assist with journal entry preparation and processing
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities within established deadlines
• Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested
• Review and update recurring journal entries as needed
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards
• Assist in documenting accounting procedures, internal controls, and process improvements
• Collaborate with team members on special projects and other assigned duties

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or recently graduated
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee, customer, and financial information
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Basic analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Eagerness to learn accounting processes, systems, and best practices
• Employees must be able to communicate effectively and work in a professional office environment
• This position requires extensive computer use, financial analysis, document review, and collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, typing, viewing computer screens, reviewing reports, and preparing financial documentation. Employees may occasionally be required to stand, walk, or move throughout office and manufacturing areas as needed
• Exposure to accounting coursework and basic understanding of U.S. GAAP preferred
