Accounting Intern - Summer 2027

Scoular is offering an accounting internship that provides hands-on experience across its corporate accounting function. The intern will support general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end close, internal controls, tax processes, audit preparation, and accounting process improvements while using tools such as Workday AI and Excel.

What you'll do:

• Corporate Accounting Exposure: Assist with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes. Gain insight into how financial data supports business decisions and compliance
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Participate in the documentation and testing of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Tax Support: Contribute to the preparation of tax workpapers and assist with data gathering for federal, state, and local tax filings
• Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the corporate accounting team in preparing audit schedules and supporting year-end close activities
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting accuracy
• Technology in Practice: Leverage tools like Workday AI and Excel to navigate financial systems and support data integrity
