Accounting Intern - Summer 2027

Swank Motion Pictures is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join its Finance team for Summer 2027. The role rotates through Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable while providing hands-on experience with the full accounting cycle, financial processes, internal controls, reporting, and process improvement projects.

What you'll do:

• Assist with processing customer payments and maintaining accurate customer account records
• Support account reconciliation and research payment discrepancies
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections activities
• Prepare customer invoices, credit memos, and related documentation
• Help analyze aging reports and identify collection trends
• Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment
• Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Support weekly payment processing
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with expense report review and documentation
• Participate in month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis

What they're looking for:

• * Rising Sophomore or Junior perusing a bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Accounting or related field
• * A minimum 3.0 GPA
• * Curious, analytical, and eager to learn
• * Comfortable working with numbers and solving business problems
• * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• * Effective communicators who enjoy collaborating with others
• * Self-motivated and willing to take initiative on projects
• * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, charts; exposure to Power Query or Power Pivot is a plus)
• * Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint
• * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• * Interest in financial modeling, business analytics, or corporate strategy
