Accounting Internship - Summer 2027

Highgate is a real estate investment and hospitality management company. The Accounting Intern will support the Select Service Accounting division through Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable assistance, financial reporting, journal entries, P&L reviews, and accounting projects while developing accounting and analytical skills.

What you'll do:

• Learn how the Accounting team functions at Highgate
• Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Assist with reviewing purchase orders for accurate GL coding
• Support monthly financial reporting, journal entries, and P&L reviews
• Assist with various accounting projects and initiatives
• Multitask and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information

What they're looking for:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree
• Minimum Junior status
• Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June to August)
• Must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite in Irving, TX
