Accounting Internship Summer 2027

Sentry is an insurance company offering students hands-on corporate experience through its internship program. The Accounting Intern will work with multiple Finance teams on financial reporting, statement reconciliation, reporting automation, transaction processing, and accounting systems while receiving mentorship and networking opportunities.

What you'll do:

• Learn about multiple Finance teams at Sentry via direct project work with different areas
• Prepare a variety of financial statement exhibits and reporting disclosures
• Review and reconcile financial statements to general ledger data and appropriate data sources
• Assist with automation of financial statements and reports
• Verify completeness and accuracy of financial transaction processing in accordance with accounting principles and reporting requirements. Troubleshoot data reconciliation issues
• Assist with support, maintenance, and enhancement of accounting processes and systems

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field
• Planned graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029
• Obtain a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
• Working towards CPA eligibility highly preferred
