Accounting Internship - Summer 2027

Zurich North America is a global insurance company offering internship opportunities within its Accounting organization. The Accounting Intern will support financial functions, contribute to accounting projects, develop skills in SAP BPC, Business Objects, and Excel, and gain an understanding of insurance operations and accounting standards.

What you'll do:

• Provide support to key functions such as Financial Reporting, General Accounting, Reinsurance, or Accounting Policy
• Understand insurance Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and financial operations
• Develop basic/intermediate skills in SAP BPC application and Business Objects queries
• Acquire advanced Excel skills and capabilities for data analysis
• Learn about international accounting standards and proper interaction with other departments
• Explore other functional areas within Zurich through day-to-day work
• Develop a deep understanding of insurance operations

What they're looking for:

• • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program and will be enrolled in the Fall of 2027
• • Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
• • Microsoft Office experience
• • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
• • Cumulative GPA at/above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• • Problem solving skills in customer focused environment
• • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• • Experience in a leadership role
• • Self-motivated and able to work independently
