Accounting Internships - Summer 2027

BST Gallagher Flynn is a regional accounting and advisory firm providing assurance, tax, advisory, outsourced accounting, consulting, valuation, and forensic accounting services. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience across public accounting and advisory departments by supporting research, financial reporting, tax preparation, data analysis, client projects, and other meaningful assignments.

What you'll do:

• Shadow experienced team members and join potentially them on client site visits
• Assist with research, data entry, and financial recordkeeping
• Support the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements
• Gain hands-on experience with tax return preparation
• Learn to use industry-standard software and tools
• Handle confidential information with integrity
• Collaborate with a team to analyze data and support client projects
• Take on meaningful tasks and projects that will strengthen your understanding of the profession

What they're looking for:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Taxation
• Completed introductory accounting courses and understand basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with computers and a comfort with numbers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• A proactive attitude and desire to grow professionally
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a standard office environment and sit at a desk for extended periods
• Experience with QuickBooks or VITA is a plus
