Accounting Operations Analyst

Total Quality Logistics is a freight brokerage firm that connects customers with carriers to move truckload freight. The Accounting Operations Analyst will analyze financial and operational data, create reports and dashboards, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. The role also involves partnering with business leaders, investigating operational issues, and supporting strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with business leaders across departments to solve challenges and drive measurable results
• Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting initiatives
• Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and operational issues to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Measure key business metrics and provide insights that help leaders make informed decisions
• Assist with process documentation, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement projects
• Support strategic initiatives that impact company growth, profitability, and operational performance

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related business discipline
• Graduation date of December 2026, May 2027, or recent graduate
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Interest in financial analysis, business operations, process improvement, business intelligence, and data-driven decision making
