Accounting Rotation Intern

Upbound Group is a technology and data-driven provider of accessible and inclusive financial solutions. The Accounting Rotation Intern will rotate through Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Internal Audit while supporting general ledger activities, financial reporting, tax preparation, audit reviews, and accounting projects.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger by compiling and analyzing supporting data and other related information
• Develop and analyze ad hoc financial reporting needs and analyses, as needed
• Perform daily, monthly and quarterly financial closing procedures
• Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports for external SEC filings
• Assist with special accounting and finance projects and analyses as needed
• Assist with preparation of income tax returns and quarterly provision calculations
• Assist with audit reviews and SOX control process and validation procedures
• Interface with other departments to support projects

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing an Accounting degree, with an expected graduation between May 2027 and May 2028
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in our home office in Plano, Texas Monday through Friday
