Accounting Summer Intern

NinjaHoldings provides digital banking, lending, underwriting, fraud detection, and analytics services designed to improve access to financial services. The Accounting Summer Intern will support the financial reporting function by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and cash transactions, analyzing the loan portfolio, streamlining accounting processes, and assisting with strategic projects.

What you'll do:

• Prepare journal entries, financial statement analysis and account reconciliations
• Reconcile high-volume cash transactions and research reconciling items in loan management system
• Assist in streamlining of accounting processed and procedures
• Support Accounting Manager with strategic projects
• Track real-time performance of the loan portfolio using SQL-based data visualization tools
• Support team members within the Accounting team

What they're looking for:

• Candidates must be local or able to relocate independently - relocation assistance is not provided
• Schedule: 40 hours/week
• Incoming or current senior in an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree Program in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Strong quantitative analytical skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, follow through to completion, and present conclusions of analysis to senior management in an organized and thoughtful manner
• Experience with SQL or other relational database tools a plus
