About the Department
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Acadiana who have behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our team at our Crowley Behavioral Health Clinic location to provide fiscal/accounting and administrative support services for the agency. You will work in a variety of systems and software including an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System.

Position Duties
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Job Duties:
Your role as an Accounting Technician will include:
Generating monthly bills; posting payments on client accounts; reviewing client’s finances and researching Medicaid, Medicare and insurance eligibility; analyzing receivables and other information along with reconciling bank statements.
You will also prepare and process travel forms, property control and additional administrative and clerical support for the agency.

Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District – Crowley Behavioral Health Clinic in Crowley, LA
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 40 hours/week
Appointment Type: Probational and Promotional
