Accounts Payable Associate - Support

Mortenson is hiring an Accounts Payable Associate to accurately and timely process supplier invoices and provide accounts payable support. The role also supports invoice issue resolution, month-end close, supplier statement review, system testing, and department projects.

What you'll do:

• Ensure all invoices are keyed and processed for payment in an accurate and timely manner
• Research and resolve all past due balances or disputes
• Process Dataloads
• Assist in researching, resolving and responding to internal and supplier invoice questions
• Assist with month end close
• Provide supplier statement review
• Review unaccounted reporting and resolve outstanding activity
• Assist with system testing as needed
• Provide timely escalation of issues requiring 2nd level support to Accounting Payable Lead or Manager
• Participate in department projects and company initiatives as required
• Responsible for department mail distribution and scanning/routing of invoices for coding and approval

• Perform functions efficiently and accurately with little direction supervision

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Accounts Payable experience
• Construction accounting experience
