SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings.

Job Purpose
The Administrative Assistant performs comprehensive administrative and operational support for the Chief Financial Officer and Finance department, while serving as the point of contact for SCETV internal and external partners. The role maintains office records and databases, supports office workflow while handling coordination, completion, and tracking of standard processes.  This position ensures compliance with SCETV policies while delivering exceptional customer service through strong organization, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Job Duties
Performs administrative functions for the Finance department to include proofing, formatting, making copies, tracking, researching, reconciling, and other general office functions. Handles coordination, completion, and tracking of internal documents and processes for the Finance department while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive documents and conversations.

Manages the Chief Financial Officer's incoming and outgoing correspondence, including reviewing, drafting, editing, and coordinating responses with the appropriate Department personnel.  Ensures deadlines are met on all email responses, verbal correspondence, and special projects requiring a reply by the Chief Financial Officer. Ensures responses are consistent and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

Maintains the status of multiple projects and initiatives facilitated by the Chief Financial Officer. Solicits updates from Program Directors, Managers and staff members to properly assign and maintain timeliness, while ensuring follow-up with the Chief Financial Officer.  Serves as backup for the Asset Coordinator role.

Orders and maintains the office supplies, equipment, and furniture needs for Finance and Procurement, including preparation and coordination of any necessary requisitions’/shopping carts in SRM.

Must possess general knowledge of accounting activities and state fiscal operations to properly engage on financial matters with Agency Executives, Directors, Managers and staff members.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Position Duties

A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

Some positions require a valid driver's license and a good driving record.



Minimum Qualifications


A high school diploma and 2 years of work experience.

Knowledge of Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) and the SC Enterprise Information System (SCEIS)
