Position Duties
This position supports administrative, financial, and policy functions that help the SPEED Program operate effectively and meet agency standards. As an Administrative Officer 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Process Review: Evaluate current practices and recommend improvements to strengthen program operations
- Data Management: Develop databases and spreadsheets to track financial, permitting, and program information
- Committee Participation: Represent the program on task forces and prepare recommendations based on assigned issues
- Operational Planning: Create written procedures and resolve operational challenges to support program efficiency
- Fiscal Support: Assist staff and applicants with payments, vendor setup, and financial tracking across multiple systems
- Program Assistance: Provide backup support for administrative functions including fiscal, human resources, and procurement needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $60,538.00 (before taxes).

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
