About this role
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Interprets and disseminates administrative policies and procedural revisions for staff implementation.
- Composes correspondence, directives, speeches, etc.; prepares drafts on various departmental matters and edits material as required.
- Coordinates and monitors customer service requests received through the City's service request systems, ensuring timely routing, tracking, follow-up, and communication with operational staff.
- Responds to written and telephone inquiries, requests and complaints from the general public.
- Conducts studies of department organization and operation; coordinates preparation of report on findings and offers recommendations concerning various problems.
- Coordinates meetings, calendars, training schedules, payroll-related documentation, employee certifications, and other administrative activities supporting section leadership.
- Responds to internal and external inquiries by providing accurate information and directing requests to the appropriate personnel.
- Identifies opportunities to improve administrative processes, develop tracking systems, and increase operational efficiency.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts or a related field.
PREFERENCES
Preference will be given to:
Individuals with experience providing administrative support to management and higher.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and
PowerPoint.Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills with the ability to manage
multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to establish effective working
relationships with employees, contractors, vendors, and the public.Valid driver's license with compliance with COH driving policy (AP 2-2)
