About this role
KPMG is a leading firm that is defining the future of business through AI and digital innovation. They are currently seeking an Advisory Intern for their Advisory practice, where the intern will provide technical support, conduct business analysis, and assist in developing client deliverables.
What you'll do:
- Provide the technical connection between project managers and developers by clearly communicating business functional issues to clients and internal staff
- Conduct business process and requirements analysis and advise clients on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies
- Support the development of requirements, business process definition, testing processes, internal controls, project communications, training and organizational change management
- Develop client-ready deliverables related to requirement specification, process analysis, system-based and manual controls, functional design and test plans
- Understand and proactively manage risks to protect the business and minimize impact of disruptions by identifying and communicating findings to senior management and client personnel
What they're looking for:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Systems or IT related Engineering, Business Analytics or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
- Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
- Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance
- Demonstrated quality service mindset and understanding of how IT organizations operate and knowledge of tools used for managing IT processes
- Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications used by our clients
- Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
- Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. - Knowledge of systems development life cycle processes (Agile)
