The job is for a Flight Test Engineer (FTE) supporting the Test and Evaluation directorate in Fort Worth, Tx. This position will support FMS flight test execution primarily in Fort Worth. Flight Test Engineers (FTE) are responsible for planning and implementing flight test program(s), and coordinating test program activities with manufacturing, test site resources, engineering system specialists, and other organizations. FTEs specify the proper configuration of the test article and coordinate all aspects of the mission, including preparing prep sheets and card decks, running simulations and conducting mission rehearsals, executing missions from the control room, reporting results, and coordinating maintenance, engineering, safety, test ranges, and test support organizations into a coherent, logical, efficient and executable test activity.

This position will act as a point of contact for the Test and Evaluation directorate. The ability to interface with all levels of management is required. Above average oral and written communication skills are required. Exceptional planning and coordinating skills are also required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technically related discipline.

 

Desired Skills

  • Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in Flight Test of military aircraft
  • Experience as Test Conductor

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
