Agile Product Owner Intern

Farmers Mutual Hail protects the livelihoods and legacies of America’s farmers through farm insurance solutions. The Agile Product Owner Intern will support product owners and Agile teams by refining user stories, participating in Scrum ceremonies, managing backlogs, and assisting with project discovery and stakeholder communication.

What you'll do:

• Assists with creating and refining user stories by incorporating feedback from the business; develops requirements to ensure the team meets business needs
• Participates in Agile Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement Sessions
• Assists Product Owners with discovery process on projects
• Assists with managing and prioritizing of product backlog
• Assists with managing and prioritizing of defect and system support work
• Observes how to communicate between Agile/Project Teams and key stakeholders
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as requested or assigned

What they're looking for:

• **Education:** Must be a currently-enrolled sophomore, junior or senior at an undergraduate college or university majoring in MIS, Computer Science, Business or related degree
• **Skills:** Good organization, time management, customer service and skills
• We are looking for currently-enrolled college students who are close to the West Des Moines area, as this is not a remote internship
