AI & Data Science Intern

Ericsson is seeking an AI & Data Science Intern to support data science, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence initiatives. The role involves preparing and analyzing data, developing and evaluating machine learning models, creating visualizations, exploring Generative AI solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

• Assist with collecting, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis, reporting, and AI/ML projects
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights
• Support the development, testing, and evaluation of machine learning and predictive analytics models
• Assist in building and improving data visualizations, dashboards, and reporting solutions
• Explore and apply Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-driven tools to solve business challenges
• Support the development of automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Help translate business problems into data-driven and AI-enabled solutions
• Participate in proof-of-concept projects involving AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data science, analytics, and innovation initiatives
• Document findings, methodologies, and recommendations, and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Learn and apply best practices in data science, machine learning, responsible AI, and data governance

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong interest in data science, machine learning, analytics, and AI technologies
• Basic knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and predictive modeling concepts
• Familiarity with Python and common data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or similar tools
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and AI concepts through coursework, projects, or internships
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI technologies, or similar AI platforms
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools through coursework, projects, or internships
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and responsible AI principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Effective communication skills and the ability to present insights clearly
