AI Full Stack Developer

CGI Federal is seeking an AI Full Stack Developer to design and build intelligent, data-driven applications that support mission and business outcomes. The role involves developing front-end, back-end, and data-layer solutions while integrating AI, machine learning, generative AI, and LLM-based capabilities into production applications.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications across the front end, back end, and data layers
• Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into applications, including LLM based features, generative AI, and intelligent automation
• Build and consume APIs and services to connect applications with AI models, data sources, and external systems
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows that feed AI/ML features and application functionality
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical designs and working software
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor application performance, reliability, and data quality
• Participate in code reviews, document solutions, and follow engineering and responsible AI best practices

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–6 years of experience in software development, full stack engineering, or a related field
• Hands on experience building full stack applications (front end and back end)
• Experience applying AI/ML or generative AI in applications (e.g., integrating LLMs, AI APIs, or ML models)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with a modern front end framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) and back end/API development
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD fundamentals
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Experience with AI/ML services from cloud providers (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock/SageMaker)
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with API integration (REST) and building data pipelines/data models
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG (retrieval augmented generation), or vector databases
