AI Product Development Intern

Synoptek is a Managed Services Provider delivering strategic IT leadership and operational support to organizations globally. The AI Product Development Intern will support the design, development, testing, and iteration of AI-powered software solutions while collaborating with product and engineering teams and incorporating enterprise security, reliability, and governance requirements.

What you'll do:

• Contribute to end-to-end AI product development activities including ideation, technical design, implementation, testing, and iteration
• Develop, experiment with, and evaluate AI workflows using large language models, agents, retrieval techniques, and orchestration patterns
• Implement backend and/or frontend software features aligned with product priorities and technical direction
• Translate product requirements into user stories, prototypes, and functional deliverables
• Incorporate enterprise considerations such as data security, access controls, auditability, reliability, and user workflows into solution design
• Document technical decisions, tradeoffs, evaluation outcomes, and delivered features to support knowledge sharing and continuity
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders in planning, review, and refinement sessions
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned workstreams and deliverables from concept through completion

• • Strong programming capability in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages
• • Familiarity with APIs,web architectures,and basic systems design principles
• • Exposure to modern AI tooling including prompting,evaluation methods,retrieval-augmented generation,or agent frameworks preferred
• • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS,Azure,or GCP) and developer workflows such as Git and CI/CD fundamentals
• • Comfortable operating in a hybrid work environment with minimal supervision
• Education Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field In lieu of formal education, equivalent hands-on experience through academic projects, startups, internships, or independent development will be considered
