Airport Electrical Engineering Intern

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is a professional services consulting firm seeking a full-time electrical engineering intern to support airport design projects. The intern will assist with electrical airfield engineering, including preparing documents and designs, performing calculations and cost estimates, conducting technical research, and supporting field inspections and surveys.

What you'll do:

• Preparing electrical engineering documents
• Assisting with the analysis, preparation or modification of reports, plans, schedules, studies, and designs for projects
• Performing electrical design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates
• Assisting with the preparation of design and construction budgets
• Designing airport electrical systems such as lighting for runways, taxiways, and aprons
• Technical research and writing
• May assist with field inspection, documentation, and survey work
• Other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• A valid driver's license and occasional travel will be required
• Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in electrical or civil engineering from an accredited college or university by their start date

• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Civil3D software
