Bristow Group is a leading company in the aviation industry, and they are seeking an AMR Accountant to support general ledger accounting activities. The role involves preparing monthly journal entries, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and collaborating with operational and finance teams to deliver accurate reporting.

What you'll do:

  • Execute tasks for the month end close for US, Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname, and other miscellaneous entities supporting AMR operations
  • Support AMR Senior Accountant and related Bristow business processes while maintaining strong internal controls for the business
  • Apply daily cash receipts to ensure accounts receivable aging remains current; investigate and resolve unidentified deposits in coordination with Treasury and customer billing contracts
  • Prepare and distribute the monthly Average Fuel Cost report to operational and finance stakeholders across the Americas
  • Communicate with the Bristow Global Shared Services team to cover needs they may have regarding AMR Inventory, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Long-Term Leases as required
  • Prepare reconciliation of balance sheet accounts at the end of the month to identify discrepancies and work to resolve differences. Reconciliations primarily covers Cash, AR, Prepaids, Accrued Costs
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet and income statement reviews, including research and explanations of balance sheet and profit and loss account variances
  • Perform assigned SOX controls critical to the close process to ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of internal process documentation
  • Support quarterly audit requests for external and internal audits, and other miscellaneous audit efforts of Americas region
  • Work closely with team members to help achieve a timely month end close each month
  • Prepare Ad Hoc schedules, analysis and reports as requested

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US-GAAP and standard accounting practices
  • Experience supporting or participating in team-based and cross-functional projects
  • Proven experience using ERP systems for General Ledger accounting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and summarize information for audiences with varying backgrounds and organizational levels, including external stakeholders
  • Analytical and investigative skills with persistence to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliations in timely manner
  • Strong computer literacy, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Ability to leverage automation and AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance analysis, documentation, and process efficiency
  • Good team player: willingness to assist/ mentor team members as required
  • Ability to manage priorities, focus on the key issues, meet deadlines, and work well in team environments
  • Exposure to or Experience working in a global, multi-country organization preferred
