About this role
Qorvo is a semiconductor company supplying innovative solutions across wireless communications, connectivity, sensors, and other high-growth markets. The Analog Design Engineering Intern will contribute to analog and RF circuit design, simulations, layouts, and laboratory validation while collaborating with engineering teams to meet performance, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to design of multiple functional blocks including LNA, switch, DSA, SOI analog blocks, and RF Modules
- Meet performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule
- Produce designs with challenging specifications that may require trade studies to make decisions on the path of the design
- Adapt to new customer requirements for ruggedness, ESD, and quality
- Work as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
- Work with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data
- Keep a weekly summary log on progress and performance
What they're looking for:
- Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- Student must have completed some analog/RF circuit design course work with focus on LDO(Low dropout Regulator), bandgaps circuits, differential amplifiers, and operational amplifiers
- Student must have completed some analog layout courses with focus on good layout techniques like Common Centroid layout, Interdigitated layout and use of dummy devices
- Student must have software experience with Cadence Virtuoso, PVS and Assembler and Explorer
- Software Exposure: ADS, AWR, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Dynamic Link, Python, Spotfire, Matlab
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong collaboration skills
- Self-Starter with good communication skills
- Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
- Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
