Analyst/Associate - Investment Banking

Bankers Edge Advisory is a boutique investment bank specializing in capital market solutions, M&A advisory, and loan portfolio transactions for lower middle market clients. The Analyst or Associate will support live mandates by building financial models, conducting research, preparing transaction materials, developing market analyses, and coordinating deal execution through closing.

What you'll do:

• Build and analyze financial models (LBO, credit and returns analyses) across industries and sectors, turning raw data into insights that guide critical decisions
• Conduct industry and company research to support M&A, financing, and capital raising mandates, delivering polished, client-ready analysis
• Prepare marketing collateral and transaction materials , including pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), lender presentations, and management presentations
• Develop comprehensive market landscapes – comparable company analysis, competitive positioning, value chain and market sizing – to inform strategy and drive deal execution
• Support the full deal lifecycle , coordinating with lenders, clients, and advisors to advance transactions from mandate through close
• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously , providing timely, concise updates to internal teams and clients and keeping every deal on track under demanding timelines

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree required; concentration in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in a transaction-focused environment; backgrounds in investment banking or credit analysis are highly desirable; career changers with strong analytical foundations and transferable financial skills are encouraged to apply
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with a solid grounding in accounting and financial statement analysis; ability to produce polished transaction materials including pitch books, CIMs, and lender presentations
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage up and across stakeholders
• High accountability, meticulous attention to detail, and an ownership mentality, able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously under demanding timelines
• FINRA Series 7 or 82, Series 63, and Series 79 preferred; candidates without current licensure but committed to obtaining them will be considered
• Familiarity with AI-powered workflows and tools as applied to deal research, document drafting, or financial analysis is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; this role is not eligible for employment sponsorship
