Analyst

Sycuan Casino Resort operates a casino, golf resort, and other business ventures in the San Diego region. The Analyst supports data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and visualization, partnering with stakeholders to develop analytical solutions and drive operational and strategic improvements.

What you'll do:

• Compile organizational performance data and develop performance reports with meaningful metrics and data storytelling
• Develop summary of findings and provide recommendations to the manager of Enterprise Analytics
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports in accordance with department and company needs, and best practices
• Partner with departments to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using tools such as Tableau, Excel, and SQL
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business recommendations
• Document data sources, methodologies, and processes to ensure transparency and repeatability
• Support data governance and quality initiatives
• Effectively leverages storytelling to communicate insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics or Finance or related field or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet applications
• Proficiency in SQL
• Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments
• Ability to manage large projects and multiple projects to completion
