Analyst, Fund Accounting Operations - Fund Accounting

StepStone Group is a global private markets specialist delivering investment solutions, advisory services, and data-driven insights. The Analyst will support Fund Accounting Operations for Venture Capital portfolios by reconciling accounting and performance reporting data, resolving variances, recording transactions, and coordinating with internal teams and third-party administrators.

What you'll do:

• Daily monitoring of dashboard that compares performance reporting system data to TPAs underlying investment cash flow activity
• Review variance breaks and work with SPAR and/or TPAs to resolve breaks
• Record stock sale transactions in StepStone’s performance reporting system
• Produce quarterly cash flow reconciliation files
• Produce quarterly net asset value reconciliations
• Ensure new fund commitments and investments are set up in the performance reporting system and mapped with TPA system identifiers
• Correspond with General Partners regarding accounting/reporting questions, or other issues, as necessary
• Ad hoc projects

• * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
• * Demonstrated track record of academic success
• * Preference for individuals with relevant internships or work experience
• * Acute attention to accuracy and detail
• * Strong time management, prioritization, and communication skills
• * Strong adaptability to learn new systems and Microsoft tools
• * Proactive and focused with a strong work ethic
• * Willingness to ask questions
• * Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client, investment and company information
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply
• * Experience with Power BI, Excel, Power Pivot, Power Automate and SharePoint preferred
