ANALYST, MAINTENANCE TEAM LEAD

The Maintenance Team Lead is responding for the standard operation/production procedures, safety, quality control, cost, delivery and continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and pleasant personality; effective memory skills; good hand eye coordination; dependability, ability to follow directions and a strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor and supervise all activities associates with team members of the assigned area.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
  • Maintain current plans, procedures, programs and strategies to enhance performance, accuracy levels and interdepartmental perceptions
  • Maintain spare parts inventory
  • Maintains company –required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
  • Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting and repairing conveyors
  • Monitors lift equipment for service needs and damage
  • Ensure properly clean up oil, water and acid spills according to OSHA guidelines
  • Promote cleanliness of maintenance and battery change areas
  • Ensure that batteries are changed, charged and watered as required
  • Assemble and disassemble racking, bins and conveyors
  • Maintain plumbing and plumbing fixtures
  • Assure the facility is maintained in a manner that will assure efficient and dependable operation on a daily basis
  • Promote and maintain safety, housekeeping and maintenance standards
  • Interact with other departments to help make team successful
  • Provide guidance in the absent of Supervisor
  • Perform other general maintenance duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 7+ years of experience working within a Distribution Center environment, required
  • Forklift certified with experience in operating lift trucks, counter-balance, reach, order pickers and walkie/riders
  • Possess the ability to perform their duties with minimal direction both alone and with their peers and in a manner that best supports the DC operation
  • Ability to work in confined areas and at heights above 30 feet
  • Interface well with peers and management
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions in completing job assignments
  • Experience with electrical trouble shooting and minor electrical repairs (replace breakers, switches, receptacles, ballast, bulbs, etc.)
  • Experience maintaining and repairing automated conveyor and sorter systems
  • Experience preventative maintenance of HVAC systems
  • Experience operating a floor scrubber, battery changer, watering and charging industrial batteries, operating trash and cardboard compactor
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must complete and submit a background screening that will be conducted by the U.S. Government post hire

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

  • Ability read labels, RF scanners and maneuver throughout facility without assistance
  • Ability to train and lead entry level co-workers
  • Ability to direct activity to those assigned to assist the maintenance department
  • Willingness to perform all other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor / Manager
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to push or pull carts of up to 100 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to climb stairs without assistance
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products
  • Must NOT be afraid of heights
  • Must be able to work on a variety of warehouse floors up to 100 feet in height
  • Must be about to work in a warehouse environment with a noise level up to 85dBA
