About this role
Access TeleCare provides telemedicine technology and acute clinical services to help hospitals and health systems deliver specialty care. The Analyst, Strategic Operations (IDR) will execute the Independent Dispute Resolution program by validating claims and payer data, submitting disputes, escalating payments, managing vendors, and developing reporting and process improvements.
What you'll do:
- Prepare, validate, and submit Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) disputes, including confirming eligibility under federal and state requirements and customizing the supporting evidence submitted for each dispute
- Review claim, payer, and determination data for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies before submission
- Facilitate payer escalations and drive cash collections on prior disputes through direct phone outreach, written and faxed follow-up, and consistent tracking of payment status through resolution
- Develop standard operating procedures, training materials, and workflow documentation for escalation and collection activity, including work performed by offshore resources
- Support vendor management by locating and organizing documentation, coordinating contract and information requests, tracking deliverables, and monitoring vendor performance against expectations
- Develop and maintain proactive reporting and metrics for the IDR program, surfacing trends in eligibility, determinations, payer behavior, and recovery
- Translate and articulate analytical results with common sense approach to non-technical business audience including executive management and external partners
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer guidelines, state/federal regulations, and industry standards to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all requirements throughout program
- Collaborate and communicate with payers during the dispute process to reach a mutually beneficial resolution where possible and support continually improving payer relations
- Ability to work independently to resolve data integrity and integration issues with various team members across various departments
- Identify opportunities to improve process, documentation, and tooling as the program matures, and take ownership of assigned improvement projects

What they're looking for:
- 0-2 years of work experience; internship, co-op, or coursework in healthcare, finance, analytics, or operations preferred
- Prior experience working with multiple systems and platforms
- Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work through ambiguous or undefined problems and recommend a course of action
- Excel (pivot table, vlookup) and comfort working with large datasets
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through on long-running items with limited direct supervision
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication for both internal teams and external payer parties
- Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills to advocate for claim approvals
- Ability to interpret and apply payer policies, state/federal regulations, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in time management to handle high-volume workloads
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and self-manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
