Applied AI Engineer

Raydar is recruiting for its client, a fast-growing software company, to hire an Applied AI Engineer. The role designs, builds, and trains AI-driven systems for complex technical data while owning core services end-to-end. The engineer will collaborate with customers and engineering teams to prototype, integrate, and deliver reliable AI-powered features in production.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement core workflows and supporting infrastructure for AI agents, including context handling and indexing approaches
• Build agents and machine learning models that interpret, reason over and modify complex technical data
• Integrate these systems with enterprise-grade tools and platforms
• Partner with customers and engineers to deliver reliable, intuitive AI-powered features in production
• Prototype quickly, test ideas with real users and release frequently
• Help shape engineering culture, architecture decisions and product direction

What they're looking for:

• A university degree in a computing or machine learning field, or comparable hands-on experience
• Roughly 2 to 6 years of relevant experience, with openness to exceptional new graduates
• Strong Python skills and experience with common machine learning libraries
• A record of building production machine learning or AI systems
• Solid understanding of large language model design and current agent research
• Practical experience with search and information retrieval
• Ability to move quickly from idea to production with real care for the customer experience
• Curious, entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in technology
• Prior time spent on applied ML, backend or AI infrastructure work
• Experience applying machine learning to geometric data
• Track record of high-impact work or published research at leading AI teams
