About the Role
Easterseals is seeking a passionate and dedicated Float4Life Instructor to deliver life-saving drowning prevention services to children and families in our community. This role provides one-on-one, individualized float lessons at indoor and outdoor pool locations, with a focus on children including those with special needs.

A snapshot of what you'll do:
- Deliver personalized Float4Life instruction using evidence-based techniques
- Manage a caseload of clients, including scheduling and service coordination
- Track progress and document milestones after each lesson
- Collaborate with families to support water safety and skill development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free pool environment, including basic pool upkeep and equipment checks
- Use tools such as iPads, computers, and documentation systems to record services
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all privacy standards
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and assist with program needs as assigned
- Work actively in the water for extended periods (up to 5 hours), supporting and physically assisting children during instruction
Qualifications:
- CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (required)
- Experience working with young children, including those with special needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder)
- Ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds and safely move in a pool environment (kneeling, crouching, reaching)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting client progress and communicating with families
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Float4Life Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)
- Previous aquatic instruction or therapy experience
