Arborist I or II - Moorhead

About the Department

The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for an Arborist I or II.

Come help maintain and grow the urban forest that makes our city beautiful and vibrant. The Arborist II is a skilled trades position while the Arborist I is a semi-skilled position. The Arborist II position performs basic/intermediate work caring for, maintaining, planting, replacing, inspecting and removing City trees, and related work as required. The Arborist I position performs basic work pruning, planting and removing trees, operating various machinery and equipment, performs routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment and vehicles.

REQUIRES
* HS diploma/GED (both)
* One yr experience in forestry, construction or other related field OR Associates Degree in related field (Arborist I)
* MN Tree Inspector certification within one year of hire. (Arborist I) 
* Maintains Electrical Hazard Awareness Training yearly. (both)
* Valid DL & class B CDL within 6 months of hire.(both)
* One year experience in tree trimming and removal (Arborist II)
* ISA Arborist Certification (Arborist II)
