The Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a position in the Woodwind Department in Clarinet. The ideal candidate will have recognition both nationally and internationally as a performer and as a pedagogue in a wide variety of settings.
Primary responsibilities include building and maintaining a studio of undergraduate- and graduate-level clarinet students, teaching studio classes, and coaching chamber ensembles. Additional duties could include teaching orchestra literature classes, pedagogy classes, and other related courses. The successful candidate is expected to participate in departmental meetings, recruitment activities and auditions, doctoral committees, and recital hearing committees, along with other department activities, such as faculty recitals, outreach activities, master classes, service on Jacobs School of Music committees, and other similar activities.

Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have an established or growing reputation with broad professional experience and have the ability to work successfully with gifted and advanced university-level students. Master’s degree in music or related field is required and a doctorate is preferred. Commensurate professional experience will also be considered.
