Assistant/Associate/Professor of Anatomy, DCOM Orange Park

The Assistant/Associate/Professor of Anatomy (DCOM at LMU-Orange Park) shall have the primary responsibility of teaching medical anatomy and/or histology in accordance with the LMU-DCOM approved curriculum and shall be held accountable for scholarly activity and service as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, and the Department.

PhD in Anatomy or closely related field

Experience in teaching medical anatomy and histology. *Experience with electronic/virtual and/or augmented reality teaching and instruction

Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large

promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students

contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of DCOM courses and academic programs, including virtual anatomy laboratory sessions within DCOM at LMU-Orange Park location

promote by precept and example a general atmosphere of respect for knowledge, thought and inquiry

maintain intellectual integrity and strive for academic excellence in teaching

promote adequate standards of linguistic expression in writing and speech

have on file in the appropriate office an outline and list of the goals and objectives for each lecture

carry out lectures, seminars, small group discussions, and responsibilities effectively

design and present a course, series of integrated lectures and/or small group discussions

prepare examination questions as well as grade a course or portion of course

meet classes according to published schedule

serve as an active member of the department, working closely with the department head to further the department and College mission and vision

provide service by attending scheduled faculty meetings and by serving on appointed and or elected committees as required

serve as an example to learners and colleagues of appropriate professional behavior

participate in scholarly activity

serve as mentor to medical and other students

complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs

perform other duties as assigned.
