Breast Imaging Radiologist

Dedicated Breast Imaging FACULTY POSITIONINDIANAPOLIS

The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences in partnership with Indiana University Health invites applications for a fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our growing breast imaging team. This is a hybrid opportunity, including a mix of work in the academic health breast center and community breast centers with both on-site and remote reading options available.

Practice Highlights


  • Join the largest academic breast imaging practice in the state, with 14 dedicated breast imaging radiologists across a multi-hospital network.

Compensation & Benefits


  • Total compensation (salary + benefits) estimated at approximately $610,00-$650,000 for assistant professor and above, with ample opportunities for supplemental income.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical interpretation of diagnostic and screening mammograms, breast ultrasounds and breast MRI. Perform image guided breast procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound and breast MRI guided biopsies and localization procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients clinicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Participate in breast imaging fellowship education and curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues across radiology and other clinical departments on academic projects
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and contribute to educational initiatives across the department and Academic Health Center.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in a supportive academic environment.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and faculty development opportunities aligned with the department’s four missions—clinical, research, education, and culture.

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology
  • Fellowship training in Breast Imaging or significant clinical experience in breast imaging
  • Willingness to teach and mentor medical students, residents and breast imaging fellows
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Indiana.
