Assistant Professor of Economics

Bowdoin College’s Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2027. The position subfield is International Finance, Corporate Finance, or Industrial Organization (candidates should have at least one of these fields). Candidates should also have the ability to teach an introductory survey course on Financial Economics. Bowdoin is particularly interested in candidates dedicated to undergraduate teaching and with a promise of long-term successful research. The teaching load is two courses per semester. A PhD is expected by date of appointment.

The anticipated hiring range for this appointment at the assistant professor rank without prior tenure-track experience is $112,000 – $118,000 annually; the salary offered will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and with internal peer equity.
