Entry level AT Specialist to provide itinerant evaluation, consultation and training services related to the use of assistive technology to school districts in Southeastern MA for students with varied disabilities. This position will primarily support students in the following school districts: Hingham, Fairhaven, Sandwich, SLRSD, and Wareham MA. This position may also require on site availability to other nearby schools in the Southeast area.
Essential Functions:
- Provide AT evaluations to students of varied ages and abilities.
- Provide consultation and trainings for the student and team, including family and school staff.
- Educate school team and family in evidence-based intervention techniques to promote successful outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with team to implement adaptive equipment and recommendations.
- Attend meetings to present reports.
- Maintain appropriate documentation based on professional practice, Easterseals policies and procedures, and contracting agency requirements.
- Submit paperwork and billing requirements in a timely manner in accordance with agency standards and with strict adherence to deadlines.
- Follow Easterseals policies and procedures.
- Follow policies and procedures of contracting agency.
- Performs any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.
- Utilize SalesForce, MS TEAMS, and MS Outlook to communicate with colleagues and outside contracts and track caseloads.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree related to AT
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Previous work with persons with disabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of disability related services preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- MA CORI check, national background check, and professional references check
- In order to provide direct client care, the selected candidate must be able to provide a recent physical indicating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job either with or without accommodations, proof of negative TB test, and required immunizations (including fully vaccinated status for Covid-19)
Required Skills:
- Must have excellent communication and organization skills
- Must have excellent time management skills to prioritize responsibilities, meet established deadlines, and ensure the efficient completion of work assignments
- Ability to travel to/between multiple work locations
- Ability to work independently
Work Schedule: Per Diem
- Work is inconsistent and varies month to month
