Associate Accountant

SureCam provides cloud-connected video telematics, fleet technology, and vehicle tracking solutions for small and midsize businesses. The Associate Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including subscription billing, customer orders, reconciliations, billing inquiries, customer credits and refunds, and recurring accounting tasks while working closely with the Senior Accountant.

What you'll do:

• Daily inputting of new subscription orders/billings into company’s billing system (Stripe)
• Maintaining accuracy of our recurring subscription customer bills
• Reviewing and monthly reconciling all customer subscription recurring bills
• Development of real time reconciliation process between billing systems
• Processing customer hardware orders, tracking payment, and then approving hardware shipping
• Researching and resolving customer billing inquiries
• Managing internal approvals and issuing customer credits/refunds
• Assist the Senior Accountant in various other daily and monthly recurring accounting tasks

What they're looking for:

• A bachelor's degree in business or accounting is required
• Must have at least 1 year experience in accounting with a similar role of continued professional development, preferably at a smaller or mid-sized private organization
• Demonstrates accounting skills, including working in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable
• Works well with both external and internal customers of the organization
• Hands-on attitude and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to existing Accounting and Finance team as well as cross functional communication skills
• Familiarity with existing AI tools impacting the accounting and reporting functions
• Familiarity with Salesforce and QuickBooks is preferred, but not required
