Are you passionate about connecting people to purpose, driving continuous improvement, and creating engaging associate experiences? As an Associate Business Program Consultant, you'll serve as a communications strategist, process improvement consultant, culture champion, and program owner supporting Senior Health Operations. 

In this role, you'll partner with leaders and business teams to advance strategic initiatives, enhance organizational effectiveness, improve operational processes, and strengthen associate engagement. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll help translate business objectives into actionable communication, training, and process improvement solutions that support operational excellence and organizational success. The ideal candidate is a proactive, innovative professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, anticipates future business needs, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve the way work gets done. 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • Business Program Analyst: $53,000-$66,500, plus annual bonus opportunity. 
    • Associate Business Program Consultant: $68,000-$87,500, plus annual bonus opportunity. 
    • Business Program Consultant: $86,000-$114,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.  
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partner with leaders and business teams to support strategic initiatives, organizational effectiveness efforts, and operational improvements aligned with business objectives. 

  • Develop and execute communication, engagement, and change readiness strategies, including leadership communications, presentations, associate engagement campaigns, and other resources that keep associates informed, connected, and prepared for evolving business needs. 

  • Serve as an internal consultant by identifying business challenges, facilitating discussions, documenting and analyzing processes, and recommending solutions that improve business outcomes and associate experiences. 

  • Lead assigned communication, engagement, and operational excellence programs from planning through execution, coordinating project activities, stakeholder communications, key deliverables, and enterprise partnerships. 

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by supporting Operational Excellence initiatives, facilitating process improvement efforts, managing improvement opportunities, and championing associate feedback and innovative ideas. 

  • Anticipate future business needs and develop training materials, tools, process documentation, and resources that support associate development, operational readiness, and organizational success. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. 

  • Experience supporting strategic communications, training development, process improvement, project coordination, organizational effectiveness, or business consulting initiatives. 

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, influence without authority, and collaborate across all levels of an organization. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and actionable messaging. 

  • Experience facilitating discussions, managing multiple priorities, coordinating projects, and driving successful business outcomes. 

  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset. 

  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do. 

  • This position is based in Omaha, NE, and operates in a hybrid environment. Associates currently work on-site approximately one day per week and may be asked to attend the office at other times based on business needs. With the opening of Mutual of Omaha's new downtown headquarters in 2027, this role is expected to transition to a more structured hybrid work arrangement with increased in-office presence. 

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence (OpX), Lean, Continuous Improvement, change management, or related methodologies. 

  • Experience creating presentations, communication materials, training resources, associate engagement content, and process documentation. 

  • Experience facilitating process mapping sessions and documenting workflows using tools such as Visio. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Copilot. 

  • Experience supporting culture-building, associate engagement, organizational development, or employee experience initiatives.
