Associate Data Scientist | Home Client Services

Red Ventures is a global portfolio of high-growth companies seeking an Associate Data Scientist for its Home Data Science team. The role contributes to production ML and AI solutions, manages the full data lifecycle, customizes platform solutions for clients, and communicates results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Contribute to the development and deployment of ML/AI solutions in production environments, with a focus on building reliable, well-tested code
• Work across the full data lifecycle, from pulling and cleaning data to building models and tracking their downstream impact
• Take solutions built by our platform teams and deliver them customized to individual clients and partners
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand problem context and translate it into well-scoped data science work
• Communicate progress, risks, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions that meet team development standards
• Build working knowledge of key business KPIs and how model outputs connect to them
• Take on clearly scoped tickets and small projects independently, escalating blockers early
• Develop proficiency across common ML techniques, model deployment practices, and the tools and platforms the team uses day-to-day

What they're looking for:

• This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on H1-B, F-1, OPT, STEM-OPT, or TN visa, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp
• This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or similar) OR Bachelor's degree 1-2 years professional experience
• Foundational understanding of core data science techniques such as classification, regression, clustering, and when to apply each
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with Generative AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, Gemini, Langchain, Mastra, Open AI or similar tools
• Familiarity with model deployment and ML operations concepts, including version control, CI/CD, and job orchestration
• Analytical instincts for exploratory data analysis and an ability to assess both technical model performance and its business impact
• A collaborative working style with genuine curiosity about how the business works and what drives value
• Prior internship, research, or project experience applying ML to real-world problems is a strong plus; experience with Databricks or cloud platforms (AWS) is a bonus
