About this role

Eco-Pork America Inc. is an AgriTech company building computer vision and SaaS solutions for the swine industry. The Associate Field Solutions Engineer supports deployment and operation of AI camera systems at livestock sites across the Midwest, including equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, data collection, and deployment logistics. The role also connects field operations with product and engineering teams in Tokyo.

What you'll do:

  • Follow each site's biosecurity protocol, plan your visits and downtime around it, and carry the equipment and PPE(personal protective equipment) it requires
  • Execute assigned deployment steps on site: equipment and server setup in the cabinet, configuration, and calibration, under the direction of a Field Solutions Engineer
  • Perform routine system checks and first-line maintenance; troubleshoot within your scope and escalate clearly, with the information the next person needs
  • Document deployments and site visits — installation records, checklists, and post-visit reports — so that the knowledge is transferable rather than held in one person's head
  • Observe what is happening at the site and report it in structured form, including issues and improvement opportunities you notice before anyone asks
  • Collect the data our product, AI, and engineering teams need, to the specification they need it in
  • Support deployment logistics: equipment tracking, site readiness, and scheduling coordination with the Field Solutions Engineer and Field Operations

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, agricultural systems, animal science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Full professional proficiency in English — able to lead conversations with farm operators and contractors on site, explain technical issues in plain language to non-technical audiences, and write clear reports and documentation without assistance
  • Hands-on aptitude with hardware, networked equipment, or systems — through coursework, internships, personal projects, or work experience
  • Comfort working hands-on in livestock production environments, including regular presence in active barns
  • Valid U.S. driver's license, or the ability to obtain one before your start date, and willingness to drive regularly to customer sites
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area; residence in Iowa or Minnesota may be considered where the site travel pattern allows
  • Internship or project experience involving IoT devices, sensors, cameras, embedded hardware, or field service
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, IP cameras, connectivity troubleshooting), Linux, or basic scripting
  • Background or coursework in agriculture, livestock, or animal science
  • Experience producing documentation, procedures, or SOPs(standard operating procedures) that others worked from, in any context
  • Spanish language ability, which is widely spoken on farm crews in the region
  • Driving to customer sites is an essential function of this position

Benefits:

  • Eligible for an annual performance incentive.
  • Medical benefits.
  • 401(k).
  • Paid time off.
