About this role
Leviton develops solutions for electrical, lighting, data networking, and energy management applications. The Associate Hardware Product Manager supports electromechanical product lines through product launches, sustaining activities, roadmap planning, performance analysis, pricing, forecasting, marketing, and technical support.
What you'll do:
- Conduct market, technology, and competitive assessments
- Assist with establishing product vision and defining the product roadmap for electromechanical products
- Examine and analyze product line performance such as profitability, forecasts, inventory levels, etc. and provide recommendations to management
- Develop Business Proposals
- Manage applicable deliverables for Phase/Gate product development process
- Assist with establishing product pricing and assessing product costs and gross margins
- Coordinate product launches
- Recommend marketing materials and assist with their development
- Create product forecasts and coordinate to establish appropriate inventory levels
- Coordinate support function activities to sustain product line
- Support Sales channels as needed to make assigned product lines successful
- Assist in the development of appropriate training materials for the value chain
What they're looking for:
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate effective presentations to groups of employees and managers
- Must have the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with customers that lead to the sale of assigned hardware products
- Must have the ability to organize teams to support the development of business opportunities
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications
- Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists
- Must have the ability to work in a highly confidential work environment
- Strong mathematical, analytical and computer skills
- Knowledge of electromechanical product design capabilities
- Bachelor's degree required, in Business Administration, Engineering or related technical/business field
- 1-3 years' experience in a technical field with business operations understanding. Experience with manufacturing operations processes a plus
- 20% travel
- Background in automotive industry with working knowledge of EVSE, including automotive manufacturers and terminology is a plus
