About this role
- Help modernize and transform how legal teams provide legal services, utilizing leading technology, business, and consulting tools and methodologies
- Advise corporate legal departments and global law firms on strategy, organization, technology, and other transformations, and assist chief legal officers in developing and implementing leading corporate governance structures and practices
- Advise clients on the legal process and support aspects of strategic transactions including global law firm combinations, corporate IPOs, M&A transactions, and other deals
- Assist clients in analyzing commercial contracting processes and technologies and managing large-scale portfolios of contracts
- Develop recommendations for integrating technology and process improvements into legal services, and support the selection, implementation and enhancing of legal technologies for legal teams, including AI, workflow automation, enterprise legal management, contract lifecycle management, eBilling, legal matter management, and more
- Design, develop, manage and document processes and project plans for clients in a complex and dynamic environment, adjusting as needed to meet changing client requirements, and supporting progress against project milestones to help ensure timely completion of project deliverables
- Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI and more
- Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: bachelors and/or masters in business, data science, economics, finance, history, political science, pre-law studies, psychology, public policy/government, statistics, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
- Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data and analytics preferred
- Understanding of legal businesses and organizations, business transformation, functional processes, financial management, technology, resourcing, performance management and change management relating to corporate legal departments, large law firms, and other legal sector-related businesses strongly preferred
- Experience preparing and conducting business analysis and studies, needs assessments, requirement analysis/definition and cost benefit analysis
- Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills. Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI, MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook and apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights
- Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills, feedback oriented, and resourceful in delivering high quality work
- Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation
- Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
