Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Part-Time/NightShift
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/MLS personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months (180 days) of hire, or
- National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire, or
- National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts within 6 months (180 days) of hire, or
- National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months (180 days) of hire, or
- National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months (180 days) of hire, or
- National Laboratory Tech - United States Government within 6 months (180 days) of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.
- 1 year experience
