Associate, Middle Office - US Equity

ROLE OVERVIEW

In the role of Operations Associate, US Equity & Quant the employee will be responsible for the following:

•     Oversee trade lifecycle across equity, option (listed and OTC) and swaps to ensure timely settlement

•     Work directly with trading desk to resolve any trade exceptions with our executing brokers

•     Act as point of contact for equity PM’s for operational/middle office inquiries

•     Perform daily position reconciliations across various BAM systems to ensure holdings data is correct

•     Work with Dev teams on various system enhancements to mitigate risk and improve efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

•     Understanding of equity, options, swaps, and their mechanics

•     Basic knowledge of various types of Corporate Actions

•     Prioritize trade breaks and understand risk posed by incorrect holdings

•     Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills

•     Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to identify issues and potential solutions proactively

•     A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership over processes and is resourceful

•     High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

•     Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

•     4 year Bachelors degree

•     3+ years experience with trade lifecycle and resolving settlement exceptions with counterparties

•     Experience working in NYFIX/Harmony/CTM is a plus

•     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

•     Develop working relationships with various teams across BAM such as Trading, Compliance, Development, Macro Operations, PM Teams, Data Integrity, Risk

•     Manage end of day process/checks and roll all blotters to be ready for Asia open

•     Oversee option expiration process and work with trading and PM teams to process any contrary or partial instructions

•     Assist PM teams in the creation of sub strategies and coordinate account openings where necessary

•     Assist Derivatives team in booking of OTC and Flex options
