The Associate Product Manager will support product planning and development efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into product requirements while enhancing their foundational product management skills.
What you'll do:
- Support Product Managers in defining product vision, roadmap priorities, and feature requirements by gathering information and documenting product decisions
- Assist with backlog refinement by writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting prioritization activities
- Analyze customer needs, business objectives, and product strategy to support informed product decisions while developing product management expertise
- Support product discovery, requirements gathering, and Agile planning activities under the guidance of Product Managers
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, product demonstrations, and release activities to ensure successful delivery
- Support feature validation through testing, pilot programs, and user feedback, documenting findings and recommending improvements that enhance product quality
- Gather and organize customer feedback, market research, competitive intelligence, and product usage data
- Utilize AI-powered tools to summarize research findings, identify emerging trends, and support product analysis
- Monitor product metrics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Quality Engineering, and Product teams to clarify requirements and support successful product delivery
- Communicate product updates, documentation, research findings, and customer insights clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
- Contribute to a collaborative product culture by sharing knowledge, asking thoughtful questions, and supporting continuous improvement across product teams
What they're looking for:
- Up to 2 years of experience in product management, business analysis, software development, or a related field, including internships or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Foundational understanding of Agile product development, user stories, backlog management, and product lifecycle concepts
- Foundational understanding of software development concepts, APIs, integrations, and modern SaaS applications
- Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools and foundational knowledge of AI/ML product concepts with a willingness to learn AI-enabled product management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret customer feedback and product data under guidance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams while learning product management best practices
- Familiarity with Linear, Agile/Scrum methodologies, collaboration tools, and AI productivity tools
- Demonstrates curiosity about customer needs, business goals, and product success metrics
- Curious learner with strong initiative, attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to receive coaching and feedback
- Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification, or working toward certification
