About this role

Northern Trust is a global provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management, and banking services. The Associate Product Manager supports the delivery and enhancement of the Private Passport digital platform by assisting with product planning, requirements gathering, backlog management, testing, stakeholder engagement, and release execution. The role also contributes to platform adoption, user feedback collection, and continuous improvements to the digital client experience.

What you'll do:

  • Manage day-to-day support activities, including intake and triage of user requests, escalation of issues, and coordination with appropriate teams
  • Support product discovery efforts by identifying stakeholders, facilitating requirements sessions, and documenting business needs and user requirements
  • Assist with product roadmap planning, backlog refinement, and agile delivery activities, including creating and maintaining epics, features, and user stories
  • Partner with business, technology, and UX to help deliver platform enhancements that improve the client experience
  • Support user acceptance testing, pilot programs, and production releases to ensure successful implementation of new capabilities
  • Maintain product documentation, inventories, business processes, and supporting materials to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor product performance, adoption metrics, and user satisfaction to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Assist with stakeholder communications, status updates, demos, and presentations

  • * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage business and technology stakeholders
  • * Ability to gather requirements, document business processes, and translate user needs into actionable product backlog items
  • * Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • * Ability to build relationships, collaborate across teams, and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • * Experience using agile delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms preferred
  • * Knowledge of wealth management, financial services, or client-facing digital solutions preferred
  • * 1-3 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, Digital Platforms, or related disciplines preferred
  • * Experience working within financial services, wealth management, or client-facing digital products is a plus
  • * Agile, Product Management, or business-related certifications are desirable but not required
