About this role
Mastercard is a global payments technology company that supports secure, accessible digital payments worldwide. The Associate Product Specialist will provide analytical and execution support for Operational Intelligence platform growth by maintaining reports, analyzing adoption and usage data, tracking feature rollouts, and documenting insights for product and business decisions.
What you'll do:
- Support analysis of platform adoption, usage trends, and performance across Operational Intelligence solutions
- Help organize and review customer, subscription, and operational data to identify trends and areas for further review
- Work with Product, Technology, and Data teams to learn how platform data is structured and how it supports business decisions
- Create and maintain basic reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking related to adoption, usage, retention, and revenue
- Help gather data, check assumptions, and summarize findings for business cases and product planning
- Track new feature rollouts and help monitor early usage or performance results
- Document insights clearly so product, data, and commercial teams can understand and act on the information
- Communicate findings in a simple, practical way for team members and stakeholders
- Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines
What they're looking for:
- Basic experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization; Excel experience required, and exposure to Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is helpful
- Exposure to SQL, databases, data querying, or data concepts through coursework, internships, projects, or hands-on learning
- Ability to work with structured data, check for accuracy, identify simple patterns, and summarize observations
- Interest in learning how data moves across systems, platforms, and reporting tools
- Willingness to learn new tools, technical concepts, and business processes in a product environment
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, engineering, business analytics, economics, or a related field
- Coursework, internship, project, or early career exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, product analytics, reporting, or related areas
- Ability to summarize data into clear observations and explain what the information may mean
- Curious, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions to understand products, systems, and customer needs
- Organized and able to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on details with guidance
- Clear communicator who can collaborate with product, technology, data, and business partners
- Interest in payments, analytics, reporting platforms, or financial services is helpful but not required
