The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University is a vibrant academic community which fosters an environment of collaborative research and intellectual stimulation among its faculty and students. The College invites applications for a tenure-track associate or full professor position to begin Fall 2027. The areas of specialization are open.

Responsibilities

 

•    Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate administrator of a state university
•    Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities
•    Responsible for academic advising and related activities
•    May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees

Qualifications

 

Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.  Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice or a related field (such as sociology, psychology, or public policy).  A Juris Doctorate alone is not sufficient for consideration.  Review of applications will begin on September 28, 2026.
