Associate Project Manager Intern - Summer 2027

Continental Electrical Construction Co. is a leading electrical contractor serving Chicago and its suburbs. The Associate Project Manager Intern will support project teams in planning and executing commercial electrical construction initiatives, including procurement, labor tracking, submittals, quality assurance, contract management, and estimating.

What you'll do:

• Track estimated ship dates for long lead orders
• Follow up on back-ordered products
• Collaborate with the project manager on project labor tracking
• Update the tracker with current and projected labor data based on actual performance
• Gather and format product data for client review and approval
• Ensure received and installed products meet design team specifications
• Organize labels and identification for project elements
• Maintain a log of contract value, changes, and potential changes
• Review and quantify scope on contract drawings

What they're looking for:

• Enrolled in a degree program in Construction Management, Electrical Construction, Design, Engineering, or Engineering Technology
• Flexibility for travel to jobsites and client locations
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong task prioritization skills
• Effective communication abilities
• Some experience in construction and/or general business a plus, but not required
